During initial setup, you manually guide the Whiz through the desired route. The robot records the path with its sensors and saves it as a route. From then on, it can autonomously follow that route at any time. You can create up to 600 different routes — for example, different routes for different weekdays, different areas, or different cleaning intensities. New staff can create their own routes within minutes.

It means the battery can be exchanged without shutting the robot down — a built-in secondary battery keeps it powered during the swap, so routes and status are preserved. While other robots sit at the charging station for hours, with the Whiz a staff member swaps the empty battery for a full one in under a minute and the robot continues right away. For large areas or shift operations, this is a decisive advantage. One set of batteries charges while the other is in use — theoretically the Whiz can run around the clock.

The Whiz is primarily developed for carpeted floors and most effective there. SoftBank officially states it "works best on carpets and hard flooring" — the auto height-adjusting brush adapts to the surface. For pure hard-floor environments, however, we recommend a scrubber like the CC1, which mops and scrubs in addition to vacuuming, or the dry-sweeping MT1.

Yes, the Whiz Connect app enables fleet management for any number of units. You see the status of all robots in near-real time, receive notifications on starts, finishes, and assists, and pull detailed reports. Cleaning runs themselves are started by staff at the machine — a deliberate safety design. Data is stored in the cloud, accessible from anywhere. The app is available for both iOS and Android.
